Q: Where should I store the wood?

A: You can store the wood outside or inside. It is best to let the fresh air get to the wood to keep it dry; only cover the wood if it is going to rain. If you cannot store it outside that is O.K.! Storing wood inside will keep the wood dry as well as insect free. Many of our customers keep wood in closets, extra rooms or a wood rack.

Q: How long are the logs?

A: Generally 18 - 24 inches.

Q: How big is a cord?

A: A cord of firewood is 128 cu.ft. When it is stacked. The common measurement is 8'x4'x4'.

Q: How can I tell if my wood is seasoned?

A:An easy way to tell if wood is seasoned is by weight. Green wood is much heavier than seasoned wood.

Q: How should I store my wood?

A:You should store your wood, off of the ground and cover it during in climate weather.

Q: How much wood is in a cord?

A:A full cord is split wood that fills a 4-foot-by-4-foot-by-8-foot cubic measured space. A face cord, or fireplace cord, is an 8-foot-by-4-foot pile of split firewood. It takes three face cords to make a full cord.

Q: What size are the wood pieces?

A:The pieces are approximately 16-20 inches long and 4-6 inches wide.

Q: Where will you put the wood?

A:We will stack it wherever you like.

Q: How long until I get my wood?

A:Generally within 24 hours. When demand is high, you may have to wait a couple days. If you need it the same day, just ask. It might be possible.

Q: How much is in a truckload?

A:A full size "truckload" can vary widely depending on if the firewood is stacked, loose thrown, or the size of the truck bed. Generally speaking, you are probably getting 1/3 cord.

Q: What Kind of Firewood do you sell? How long? Split?

A:We sell mixed hardwoods, containing oak, hickory, and a small amount of other hardwoods such as cherry, walnut, and ash. Our firewood is cut 15" to 17" long, and split down to easily handled pieces approximately 5" X 5"
